Fish and Stay Cool
by Capt. Jake Herrin

Here's a easy way to catch fish and stay cool.

There are lots of long Oyster Bars and Sand Bars on the Flats Inshore where I fish out of Yankeetown, Fl. During the falling tide I like to park the boat on the Bars, take a bucket with a little water and Live Shrimp in it, get out of the boat and walk the bars. Just free line with the Shrimp about 2' above the hook.

Wading is a good way to fish and cool off while catching some Gator Trout, Reds, Spanish Mackerel a few small Sharks along with some Mangrove Snapper and other species.

You can really enjoy your day of fishing and seeing all that Mother Nature has to offer.
