Finding the Fish By Captain Jake Herrin Don’t wait for the fish to come to you, move until you find the Honey Hole for the day. I’ve found that after fishing a spot for 15 minutes or so, if you don’t get a quality Red or Trout, make a move. Your chance of hitting a god school in one to four moves gives a better chance of success. On windy days work close using incoming tides to get into calm areas protected by islands or grass coves. Redfish and Speckle Trout are basics for our Flats areas although we have many species, such as Pampano, Permit, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, Snook along with Mangrove Snapper, Jack Crevalle, Shark and many more. To Book a Trip with Captain Jake please phone: 352-447-2625 OR "Click Here" to Email for available days.
